Description
The Sumac Kilim is a flat woven carpet that is woven by nomads in the south of Iran. They use a special technique when weaving, giving the carpet a thinner and cover-like quality. The kilims are also made faster than an ordinary Oriental carpet. This Ghashghaei kilim is decorated with various imaginary motifs which present animals, plants, flowers or trees.
